Naresh Babu is HAL's new MD of B''lore Complex

Bangalore, Sept 6: K Naresh Babu took over as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Managing Director (Bangalore Complex) here today. Prior to this assignment, he was General Manager (Planning) at HAL corporate office, HAL said in a statement. In his new post,Babu would head nine full-fledged divisions, including R&D centre, engaged in manufacture, overhaul and supply of fighter/trainer aircraft among others, HAL said. He would also head divisions including facility management of Bangalore-based divisions like HAL Estate and Medical and Health, the company added. With his planning and management skills, Babu would provide impetus to divisions of Bangalore Complex on timely completion of ongoing projects like Hawk, LCA and IJT, HAL said. Babu's emphasis would be on customer satisfaction and speedy implementation of programmes like MMRCA, Jaguar Darin III Upgrade and Mirage Upgrade, the company said. HAL also said Babu aims to make Bangalore Complex to scale new heights in production, export and turnover in coming years to attain global footprint. Babu joined HAL in November 1976 as a technical management trainee after graduating in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. He began his career at Overhaul Division as Engineer. He he spearheaded Repair and overhaul of aircraft like Jaguar, Kiran, Mirage and others, it added. In December 2008, he was moved to Corporate Office as General Manager (Planning), HAL said.
