IIHT along with Micrsoft launches learning programme on cloud

Bangalore, Nov 11: Leading technology training
organisation IIHT in collaboration with IT major Microsoft
launched ‘Learning-as-a-Service’ on cloud using Microsoft
virtualisation technologies here today.
IIHT’s Cloud Computing programme would cater to the growing
demand for trained and certified cloud computing experts to IT
Industry, IIHT MD and CEO Keshava Raju told reporters.
IIHT would train and certify 100,000 cloud professionals
globally including India in the next three years, Raju said
adding "This service platform is accessible anywhere, anytime
and on any device instantly on demand."
The service supports learning of 20,000 individuals with
decreased cost and is available on subscription and pay only
on use, he said.
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer during his visit to India last
year had announced cloud computing would generate 300,000 jobs
in India over the next five years. Gartner estimated the cloud
market would be 150 billion dollar by 2013.
IIHT, which also launched one of its kind certification
programme IIHT Certified Cloud Expert, and Microsoft
Corporation also announced a strategic tieup.
Under the partnership, IIHT would integrate highly sought
after licensed Microsoft course content into its career and
short-term courses, Microsoft Learnings Senior Regional Sales
Director Kyle Uphoff said.
Along with the career and short-term IT courses, students
would also get added advantage of Microsoft certifications and
trainings to enhance skills and job opportunities, he said.
