Bangalore,  Nov 26: The special Lokayukta Court today
adjourned to December 2 hearing of the bail application filed
by BJP corporator Katta Jagadish, who is under judicial
custody following his arrest in a land scam.
Judge N K Sudhindra Rao adjourned the hearing to Dec 2
after Lokayukta Special Public Prosecutor I S Pramod Chandra
filed objections to the bail application.
Katta Jagadish, son of former minister Katta Subramanya
Naidu, had filed a fresh application seeking bail on grounds
of mercy to attend to his ailing father.
Katta Subramanya is presently out on interim bail, to seek
treatment for cancer. He has also been allowed to travel to
London for treatment.
Jagadish, in his bail application, said he wished to be
with his ailing parents and his two-year-old son needed care
and attention.
He was sent to judicial custody on Aug 8 along with his
father in connection with alleged irregularities in securing
compensation from Karnataka Industrial Area Development for
lands it acquired for industrial purposes.
While the Lokayukta court and High Court declined bail to
Jagadish, Naidu was granted three-month bail last month on
health grounds
