Rohit Malhotra appointed CEO of Airtel B2C's Karnataka circle

Bangalore, Aug 11: In line with the new organisation structure recently announced for its India and South Asia operations, leading telecom company Bharti Airtel today announced appointment of Rohit Malhotra as CEO of its B2C operations in Karnataka circle.

Malhotra will report to Operations Director (South and Sri Lanka) Vineet Taneja, the company said in a statement.

"Malhotra's experience and perspective will be vital for us in this phase of transition and we are confident that he will successfully lead our operations in Karnataka," Taneja said.

Malhotra holds a management degree from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and brings to the table over 19 years of experience.

He has also served as a CEO of Bharti Airtel telemedia services.

In the past, Rohit has held several prestigious positions across various reputed companies like Madura Coats, Spice Telecom, Reliance Infocomm & Pantaloon Retail.

Bharti Airtel's new structure is aimed at driving greater business and functional synergies,providing a common interface to customers, and creating a de-layered and more agile organisation, the statement said.

Bharti Airtel's transformed organisation structure has two distinct Customer Business Units (CBU) with clear focus on B2C (Business to Customer) and B2B (Business to Business) segments.
